Homeopathy: Deep Cure and what it means for the labels of Cancers & Chronic Illness

This posting will be updated with information for medical and naturopathic physicians who treat patients who have diagnoses of various types of Cancer and Chronic Illness.

Homeopathy is a "New Understanding of the Natural World", as important as Einstein's insight in: E = mc-squared. When we apply this fact-- that Energy and Substance are related -- to health care, then we can achieve changes in health never before thought possible. Integrative Homeopathy focuses on 1) removing "Disease", and 2) supporting the patient after "Disease" has been removed.

Please note that homeopathy has precise definitions for the words Cure and Disease. The word "Cure" in homeopathy theory means the removal of the energy "Disease" that is attacking and distorting the body's self-healing ability. After removal of the energy "Disease" by cancelling it out with homeopathic energy remedies, the body then has the task of repair, if it is strong enough and has enough support to do the work. New Facts to Solve the Puzzle of Chronic Illness and Cancer:

Learning from the Cancer Label: The Unseen Dialogue

Integrative Medicine support for people who have diagnoses of cancers includes the unseen parts of what they are facing: the mental and spiritual aspects.

There are many books and movies about what has been described as the Journey of Cancer, or the Battle of Cancer. The Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) provides a supportive experience of hope to people who are seeking to expand their understanding of life's processes. I became a member to support their important work [IONS website]. They have a PDF compendium of articles on cancers: Spontaneous Remission: An Annotated Bibliography [download].

The approach that I call Integrative Homeopathy is officially termed "Heilkunst" (Hahnemann's Complete Medical System, taught at the Hahnemann College for Heilkunst). This has a growing number of patients and practitioners who are experiencing the added benefits when they include (as part of an overall program) homeopathic remedies and a conscious awareness of the unseen/spiritual aspect of life. Heilkunst is developing a scientific approach to treating the unseen aspect of illness and disease. They have added important observations (based on the 200-plus year archives of homeopathic practitioners beginning with Hahnemann) that help make difficult conditions more open to treatment -- including ones labeled cancer and autism/behavioral.

The IONS site includes interviews with Bruce Lipton (The Biology of Belief). The one thing that his message is missing is a recognition of the existence of what could be called "energy parasites" or "energy hijackers" that Dr. Hahnemann labeled Chronic Miasms. The Heilkunst approach has added a differentiation of a new class of "hijackers" that engender deep fear and destructive emotions and are called Chthonic Disease. Treating those, along with the "shocks and traumas of a lifetime," allows a deeper awareness of our inner self and returns more control of one's emotions, and their Integrative Medicine healing process has a better chance of moving forward.

When you are facing the decisions and the process of learning about integrative ways to understand health and illness and disease and healing, the quote above from Dr. Hahnemann may give you encouragement: "Aude Sapere!" This is Latin for "Dare to Know!"

Mental Shocks & Cancer: Dr. Hamer overview

There is a growing number of people who recognize that when people receive severe psychological stresses their bodies develop illness. One medical doctor in Germany who has carefully studied this (as well as lived through it himself, testicular cancer developed after his son was murdered), is Geerd Hamer, M.D. Dr. Hamer has developed an approach to treating cancers by targeting the time of stress on the brain caused by an emotional event.

Dr. Hamer has a number of insights that seem to me to be fully in congruence with the New Understanding of the Natural World that Dr. Hahneman began to disclose for us. I intend to expand this entry about Dr. Hamer's work.

Dr. Hamer did not have access to the new translation of Dr. Hahnemann's work or to his original case notes. Nor has he had time to join the community of scholars and practitioners that has developed through the teachings at http://www.homeopathy.com/.

Dr. Hamer's work reminds me of Clancy McKenzie, M.D., a psychiatrist who has documented the childhood separation terror that later on is triggered as an adult during the appearance of schizophrenia. He has developed an approach that targets this separation experience as part of successful treatment of schizophrenia. I present this information to you because it is crucial background that explains the mental impact of events and the body's response. There is a lot that I can write about the Autonomic Nervous System and the energies of thought and intention that affect the ANS. Homeopathic remedies are able to target emotional states, as evidenced in the work of distinguished homeopath, Dr. Rajan Sankaran.

I am convinced that in the future with inclusion of the larger framework of Heilkunst & Homeopathy, there will be more effective care for conditions that result from emotional traumas.
